Prépa’Risk : a campaign of free simulation exercises to prepare for major risks

The French Association for the Prevention of Natural and Technological Disasters (AFPCNT), with the support of the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion, the Ministry of the Interior and Overseas Territories, prefectures and national partners, is organizing a national campaign of simulation exercises to prepare for major risks called Prépa’Risk.

This initiative of national scale offers the opportunity to the municipalities and inter-municipalities of Metropolitan France and overseas:

• To benefit from a series of free turnkey exercises.
• To test the tools and methods provided for in the communal or inter-communal safeguard plans.
• To anticipate and face crisis situations.
• Prepare for 13 major hazards with an exercise scenario
• To meet their regulatory obligations to exercise crisis management at least once every 5 years.

As territories are subject to different hazards, players will be able to choose to participate in several exercises during the months of May and June 2023, according to a predefined schedule.
